Phoenix Heat Treating is proud to announce the addition of a third Certified Laboratory Control at Source Representative (CLCSR) to its team, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in aerospace heat treatment and material control. This strategic addition strengthens Phoenix Heat Treating’s unique position as the only commercial heat treater on the West Coast with Pratt & Whitney LCS personnel on staff.
The LCS designation, granted by Pratt & Whitney, plays a critical role in ensuring rigorous material control and process integrity across the supply chain. It signifies a trusted capability to inspect, certify, and release hardware in compliance with one of the aerospace industry’s most demanding quality systems.
“For our customers, having an LCS on staff simplifies the process significantly,” said Joe Rico (Quality Manager). “Instead of navigating complex layers of certification and inspection with an outside party, machine shops can send parts directly to us and know that the job will be handled to the exacting standards required by Pratt & Whitney.”
Phoenix Heat Treating’s growing LCS team signals its deepening alignment with aerospace OEMs and their subcontractors. The company’s ability to certify hardware in-house enhances lead times, improves communication, and builds trust—qualities essential to manufacturers working in high-stakes, high-precision environments.
“As demand grows, we’re committed to meeting our customers’ needs not just with capacity, but with capability,” added Charlie Hushek (General Manager). “An LCS is more than a certification—it’s a vote of confidence in our people, our processes, and our place in the aerospace supply chain.”
In addition to expanding our LCS team, Phoenix Heat Treating has also added more aluminum solution heat treating capacity specifically for Pratt & Whitney work. This investment allows us to better support their growing needs and reinforces our role as a trusted partner in their supply chain.
Phoenix Heat Treating continues to invest in talent, training, and technology to deliver best-in-class heat treatment services for mission-critical applications.
